I originally purchased a swingman jersey (stitched vinyl lettering and number) under the assumption it'd have the comfort and build quality of the "stitched" but practically priced jerseys from yesteryear. I was gravely disappointed in the fit (or lack thereof) of and material used for the swingman jersey (not breathable, cheap look). I returned it and upgraded to the authentic, and it's blown away my expectations. I assumed the authentic material used would be heavy and bulky, but it's very light and very comfortable. If you have the extra money and want the best quality, I absolutely recommend upgrading from Swingman to Authentic. You can usually find coupon codes online to help reduce cost, too.
